“Dona a chi ami: ali per volare, radici per tornare e motivi per rimanere”

Si dice l’uomo sia libero solo quando è senza confini. Ed è proprio per questo che Bujumannu ha voluto intitolare così il suo terzo album, “SENZA CONFINI”, per regalarsi quella libertà che tutti cercano e nessuno ha il coraggio di accettare.

È questo il disco della maturazione, dove l’artista per un momento lascia da parte la sua proverbiale leggerezza, per donarsi in una parte più intima e riflessiva. L’idea nasce nel periodo della pandemia, dove quelle sensazioni che attraversavano la scala delle nostre emozioni cominciano a insinuarsi nell’anima artistica e per questo possiamo trovare riferimenti in qualche brano che tocca vari aspetti affrontati in quel periodo buio. I temi spaziano dal ricordo per chi non c’è più, alla voglia di libertà per una espressione senza limiti, al sentirsi davvero uniti con gli altri in una connessione empatica che ha attraversato tanti cuori.

PROFILO SPOTIFY

Queste canzoni riflettono i nostri stati d’animo, scavano nelle nostre coscienze per spronarci a sentirci vivi, a non sentirci mai sconfitti, ad essere unici e allo stesso tempo parte di tutto. Un album, insomma, che chiede solo di essere ascoltato perché parla di noi.

BIOGRAFIA

Ambasciatore della musica reggae in Sardegna. Nel 1996 fonda gli “Skami Ska”, che ancora oggi sono ricordati per la grande energia degli spettacoli live e come uno dei primi e più rappresentativi gruppi Ska/Reggae isolani, con il quale realizza 2 album: Sogno la Jamaica nel 1998 e Fusivisibilmente nel 1999. Dal 2002 al 2004 continua il suo percorso in Lombardia con i “Radio Island”.
Dal 2005 è il cantante dei “Train To Roots”, una delle band più importanti e attive della scena reggae italiana in Europa. Oltre 18 anni di attività, caratterizzati da tour e concerti esplosivi in tutta Europa. Sei album all’attivo: Train To Roots (2005), Terra e Acqua(2008) con Sargento Garcia, Ranking Joe, Errol Bellot, Breathin’ Faya (2011), Growing (2014), Home (2016) , distribuito globalmente attraverso VPAL , con Clementino, Madh, Levante e Lion D e i Catalani Aspencat e Auxili , Declaration N° 6 (2017) con Bunna , leader e voce degli Africa Unite , e del cantautore milanese Eugenio Finardi. Definito “Un artista instancabile” dalla stampa anche per i lavori da solista.
Nel 2013 esce il suo primo album dal titolo emblematico Fatti Trasportare. Prodotto dalla Murda Sound Rec, con colla borazioni internazionali come Blackout JA (UK), Fitta Warry (JAM), Forelock, Raphael. Di rilievo i singoli ” Se Tu” e “Per Te” con il quale vince il primo posto nel concorso internazionale Global Rock Star in Austria.
Nel Marzo 2020 esce il suo 2° album dal titolo Atlantide prodotto da Catchy Greezzly di Milano con il quale vince il ” Premio Archivio Musicale Mario Cervo” di Olbia (OT) come miglior disco dell’anno.
Un Album eclettico, introspettivo e divertente, dalle calde sonorità della musica in levare fino al dinamico funky groove. 13 brani attraverso i quali l’autore racconta esperienze ed emozioni che incontrano il cuore di chi ascolta e allo stesso tempo ci regala atmosfere talmente divertenti da poter infuocare ogni dancehall. Ottima la collaborazione con Moses Concas & Sista Namely in ” We Try “. Canta inoltre la magia della sua terra, nel pezzo da il titolo all’Album, “Atlantide”, prodotta da Isla Sound. A lavoro al suo nuovo Album da solista Senza Confini in uscita per il 2023, che è stato anticipato da ben 3 singoli: “Famous And Dandy ” prodotta da Isla Sound, “Old School” RP Beatz, Sardinia Proud-Atcion e Catchy Greezly, “Ascolto il tuo Suono” prodotta da Sardinia Proud-Action e Catchy Greezzly.

L’uscita dell’Album è stata accompagnata da un bellissimo video della canzone che dà il titolo all’album: SENZA CONFINI , realizzato da Francesco Mura.
Girato, nel #LeniZen , uno spazio recuperato, rivalutato e che è diventato un posto davvero magico, immerso nella natura sulle rive del Rio Leni in territorio di Serramanna (SU). Una canzone dedicata a tutte le persone care perse strada facendo. Con la partecipazione del grande Muscas Matteo alle launeddas.

Cosa ti ha spinto a fare il cantante?

Penso sia stato un processo naturale, un richiamo ancestrale e poi nel tempo è diventata una sorta di “missione”. Volermi raccontare, urlare la mia rabbia, la voglia di libertà, di rispetto, di amore per la mia Terra e la voglia di trasmettere con le mie canzoni un Amore universale.

Come ti concentri prima di cantare?

Io personalmente recito sempre il mio mantra buddista, fissando un punto fisso o (dipende dalla situazione) ad occhi chiusi. Aiuta a dare un ritmo giusto alla respirazione, a scaldare la voce, concentrarmi e allo stesso tempo caricarmi prima di un’esibizione

Parlaci del tuo ultimo progetto

È uscito sabato 27 Maggio “Senza confini” il nuovo attesissimo album da solista di Bujumannu.
Coprodotto con centinaia di persone che hanno creduto nel suo “progetto” e che hanno partecipato attivamente al crowdfunding nella piattaforma “Produzioni Dal Basso”.

Un album ricco di calore, di colori, voci e suoni della Sardegna e di buone vibrazioni.
Nelle sonorità di questo album sono tante le sfumature che vanno dal Reggae Roots, Dancehall, Ska, Afrobeat, Hip Hop sino alle caldissime ballate in acustico.
Prodotto a Flumini (CA) nello studio “Sardinia Proud-Action” di Carlo Figus, dove sono state create le musiche con dei chiari riferimenti ai suoni della Sardegna come launeddas, sulittu, organetto sardo, liriche, cori e partecipazioni.
Nei testi si parla di Amore universale, di pace, serenità, di empatia e spiritualità, di voglia di lottare, di non mollare, di goderci la vita in ogni suo istante, ma ci sono anche riflessioni su quanto, a livello umano, si siano superati troppi limiti di sopportazione.
Tante le partecipazioni, Train To Roots (Attimi, Lontano), Forelock (Il mio pensiero), Yama (Aria), Anthony Screwface (Movid), Pierpaolo Vacca (organetto sardo su Movid), Matteo Muscas (launeddas Intro, Senza Confini), Fabio Sr. Merigo (Old school, Indefinibile), Lucio Manca (basso su Il pilota) e Pol Gieri che ha suonato le magnifiche batterie in Indefinibile, Tottus uguallis, Aria, Come un mandorlo in fiore, Il mio pensiero, Il pilota.


La copertina è stata disegnata dal muralista Giuseppe Todde di Serramanna, già autore della copertina del precedente album: Atlantide.
La grafica è stata curata da Simone Bardi.
Master di Catchy Greezzly a Milano.

I tuoi hobby/interessi al di là della musica ?

Mi piace tanto viaggiare, e giocare con la Land Art in particolare con le stone balance. Mi fa sentire connesso all’universo.

Quali sono i lati positivi nell’essere cantante?

I lati positivi potrebbero essere tanti, la visibilità, il poter girare e conoscere posti nuovi, gente fantastica, musicisti da paura. Ma mi piacerebbe evidenziare che i veri lati positivi nell’essere un cantante secondo me li si vive solo se realmente lo si fa con tanta passione, dedizione e amore. Prendendo coascienza del fatto che possiamo cercare di lasciare davvero qualcosa all’ascoltatore, cercare di emozionarlo e farlo stare bene, senza per forza inventarsi un personaggio o cercare di scopiazzare la musica che va per la maggiore. Penso sia essenziale essere sempre se stessi e cercare di restare il più originali ed unici possibili, come madre natura ci ha fatto insomma.

E quelli negativi?

I lati negativi sono sicuramente le tante rinunce che spesso si devono fare per poter inseguire il proprio sogno. Il matrimonio del migliore amico, il compleanno della mamma, la festa di laurea della tua compagna, un lavoro più sicuro ma deprimente, perché magari si è in tour.
